Spot gold yesterday fell sharply during the European session, falling to an intraday low of $1,953.70, then recovered and returned above $1,970, finally closing down 0.09% at level of 1,971.06 USD/ounce


The 10-year US bond yield held steady at 4.8%, last closing at 4.819%. The two-year U.S. Treasury yield stood above 5.1% and rose to an intraday high of 5.133%, eventually closing at 5.108%.
